Dr Mohan’s clinic is fully self-funded. However, she is registered with most major insurers (AXA, Aviva, Cigna, Vitality etc) and her team is able to promptly provide a paid invoice on request. This paid invoice will enable you to claim back any policy entitlements due to you directly from your insurer. Any difference in charges between your agreed insurer amount and Dr Mohan’s fees would need to be borne by yourselves. We advise families and patients to check directly with their insurers with regards to policy entitlements, as certain specialist assessments and professional liaison meetings to support your child/young person may not always be covered by your policy.
Dr Mohan is trained in different evidence-based therapies like CBT, Mindfulness, EMDR (Trauma therapy). Whilst she is not able to offer direct regular therapeutic support owing to time constraints, she works closely with therapists and counsellors to ensure integrated, evidence-based holistic mental health care.
Dr Mohan requests for all prior relevant clinical correspondence to be shared with her ahead of the initial assessment. She takes a full and detailed history of the presenting difficulties, background and context. Based on need, she meets with the parents and the child/young person together and/or on their own. She assesses the mental state and presentation comprehensively and formulates a collaborative care plan with the child/young person and family.
It is possible that further specialist assessments, healthcare investigations, collateral/ multi-source information, resource provision and/or signposting may be required. Dr Mohan will work with the child/young person and family to ensure an optimally comprehensive, integrated approach to care.
Initial appointments include a detailed letter sent to your GP with an agreed care plan, a letter to you and a private prescription as needed.
ASD assessments are multi-disciplinary with a clinical psychologist as required and include electronic questionnaires (for teachers, parents and where appropriate, for young people), a detailed semi-structured, validated developmental assessment via videoconferencing (ADI-R or the 3Di), an in-person, semi-structured, validated assessment (ADOS) and a detailed Neurodiversity report.
ADHD assessments include electronic questionnaires (for teachers, parents and where appropriate, for young people), a detailed developmental history, an observational assessment, a QB test (where appropriate) and a detailed report.
ASD & ADHD assessments include multi-professional inputs, electronic questionnaires (for teachers, parents and where appropriate, for young people), a detailed developmental history (by videoconferencing), a QB Check (where appropriate), an in-person multidisciplinary structured ADOS assessment and observational ADHD assessment and a detailed report.
Dr Mohan’s clinic is completely paperless. We work with a highly secure electronic prescribing service who contact the family and arrange for delivery of the prescribed medication directly to your home at a time convenient for you.
Repeat/interim prescriptions carry a small nominal administrative charge. We request families to please write to us at secretary@imanaslondon.com and provide us with 5-7 working days’ notice to issue a repeat/interim prescription.
Please provide as much information as possible before your meeting with Dr Mohan. The more up-to-date she is, the more help she can provide . Please ensure you share all relevant clinical, educational and social care letters and reports before the initial assessment appointment to make the most of your appointment.
