Ramya Mohan

Dr Ramya Mohan has had a creative inclination from a very young age. This was honed by formal art training courses at the prestigious Chitra Kala Parishat, Bengaluru.

Ramya's art has pioneered a 'Management made simple' project, using cartoons to convey important management concepts for a leading Quality Management firm. Her contribution to art whilst being a doctor has been highlighted in the medical fraternity (eg., in Doctors’ Reps, a magazine for doctors).

Ramya draws on her Eastern roots and her working life in the West, combining elements of tradition and spirituality with modernism and functionality. Everyday life , situations and people inspire her paintings.

SOLO ART EXHIBITIONS

Ramya has held many solo exhibitions of her artwork across India and the UK. Her exhibitions at the MP Birla Millenium Art Gallery in West London (July 2015 and December 2014) were very well received.

Ramya was invited by the Mental Wealth Festival for a projective digital display of her Artwork titled 'Fluid Streams' in the prestigious Mental Wealth Festival 2016, London, the largest festival celebrating mental health.

Ramya was hosted by the Cultural wing of the Indian High Commission, Ministry of External affairs, UK to exhibit her original artwork collection at their historic flagship venue in Mayfair, London in May 2016 (16-20 May) and May 2017 (8-12 May) during mental health awareness week.

Ramya’s commissioned artwork draws on her artistic sensibilities and her knowledge of psychology to create unique pieces of art that truly reflect the passion, vibe and design ethos of individuals, families and organisations. She uses a variety of media based on client discussions. Her specialty lies in evocative works of art that capture a person/culture/organisation’s personality whilst reflecting a sense of balance and calm.
